The UGA Climate Action Planning Task Force has been developing an emissions reduction plan to mitigate carbon emissions on campus to meet goals of the UGA Strategic Plan 2020.  Together the Office of Sustainability, the Georgia Initiative for Climate & Society, the Climate Action Task Force,  is updating UGA’s inventory of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions, developing goals for reduction, and documenting strategies implemented.

The Office of Sustainability presented the first phase of the Climate Action Plan efforts of the Climate Action Task Force since the Fall 2012. The Task Force is a campus wide coalition between campus Colleges, Offices, Student Groups, Departments and other Institutes and Centers. During this presentation the Task Force is opening up the session for comments, suggestions, and questions from the academic and local community.
