Mission

The mission of the Georgia Climate & Society Initiative is to foster a scientific community that will:

• Investigate the processes, effects, risks, and potential impacts of climate variability and change, and develop strategies and solutions for mitigation and adaptation.
• Integrate research, outreach and instructional efforts to build adaptive capacity and resilience to climate variability and change.
• Engage users and stakeholders in developing information and tools needed to prepare for and respond to the challenges of climate variability and change.
